STING APPEARING NATIONWIDE…

We recently hosted an in store with STEVE BORDEN (aka STING).  While we have not often hosted professional wrestlers in our Christian retail store, it was truly an awesome event filled with some very unique ministry opportunities.  We had between 600 and 700 people stand in line for up to three hours to meet Steve, and having stood at the table near him for most of the event, I was totally impressed by his spiritual sensitivity, the way he greeted his fans (many of whom were not believers and had probably never been in a Christian retail store before!), and ministered to them.  One very poignant moment was when a 30-plus year-old fan greeted him with "Man, you're awesome!".  Steve responded, "Well, I'm really not, but in 1998 I met someone who is" (a reference to his conversion date).  This guy is the real deal; his life has God's fingerprints all over it.  His spiritual maturity and his quiet, caring spirit shined through in all that he did in our store, and blessed the people who attended.
